About
Dominique Filion competed in her first European Championship with ponies at the age of 13 and has since brought multiple horses to the highest levels. Numerous successes follow, both nationally and internationally. She became Dutch Champion in the Junior category, the Young Riders, and in 2021 in the Small Tour. A highlight is her victory in the Grand Prix in Vidauban with Wenicienta. Besides that, she proudly achieved a score of 72 percent with Dettori in the three-star Grand Prix at CDI Hagen and multiple international wins in the Small Tour with The Boss, Jakarta, and Dettori.
The passionate rider runs Filion Dressage with her partner Alexander Kotodyan. The two met in 2017 at a dressage stable in Russia. After a second collaboration as rider and groom in Germany, the couple returned to the Netherlands in 2018. They now run their stable in their facility in Stad aan ’t Haringvliet. Dominique is responsible for the thorough training of the sport horses. Alexander manages the stable and the young horses.

“I like it when people appreciate what I do with horses and ask for my help to become better in sport”.
Results Speak for Themselves
The horses are given time during their training to grow in experience and level, both at home and in competition. This results in well-trained and easy-to-ride horses with proven results. Dominique: “I ride each horse for at least 2 to 5 years, often starting from a young age. I can tell the story about every horse that leaves our stable. I know everything about their character, rideability, and health. This way, our clients know exactly what they are getting.”
Alexander fully supports this vision: “Many people prefer horses with a completely transparent background. We have them in our stable, with the qualities for higher levels.”
Like Dominique, Alexander from Moldova is driven in everything he does. He taught himself four different languages, which is convenient for international clients. Additionally, Alexander is currently competing with Dominique’s former Grand Prix horse Dastan, recently achieving a Prix St. Georges score of 67 percent. Speaking about ambition and horses that are easy to ride!
